The Cruise

It's been a while, so I will fill you in on the first 3 days of the Cruise. Monday was boarding day. We were able to board the ship about 12:30 and had some lunch in the Windjammer Cafe. Following lunch we toured the ship and stumbled upon the dining room, which was fortunate because as it turned out we did not have a table assignment. We decided to not have the girls eat with us for dinner, instead we opted to share a table with another couple. They turned out to be quite nice and we have had two very nice dinners with them. Later the first day I took the girls swimming before muster drill and sail away. Following sail away we figured out how childcare worked and got the girls checked in for their first visit while we had our first meal in the dining room.
The next day was Key West. We went ashore with no other plan than to find a beach. The weather was overcast and not very warm, but we did find a beach and the girls and I went in briefly. Emily got her feet wet, but that was about it. We rented this little electric car to get around town and that was quite fun. We left Key West at 2:00 so spent the afternoon on the ship. We napped and then tried swimming, but it wasn't that warm on deck and the water was rather cold, so that was a short lived trip to the pool. The kids went to the child center about 6:00 and Em & I got ready for formal night and had our pictures taken before dinner. After dinner we did a little gambling before picking up the kids and calling it a night.
Today the weather was warm and the sun bright upon arriving at Cozumel. Unfortunately the seas were rough and they could not tender people to shore or other excursions so all shore excursions were cancelled and the boat left Cozumel by 12:00, 7 hours early. We made the best of it by swimming in the pools, doing lunch in the main dinning room and the girls having some extra child activities time. One big event today was that Alex lost her other front tooth. I will post pictures on Saturdy when I get back to Tampa and a computer that I can upload pictures from.
Tomorrow is Belize and we are hopping for good weather and calm seas.
