Final Day in New York

For completeness sake I thought I should blog our final day in New York.

We woke up to discover a good 4-5 inches of snow on the ground. It continued to snow up until about 2:00 in the afternoon. The horse drawn carriages did not come out to Central Park because of the weather so we ended up not being able to do that. So, we wandered over to Rockefeller Center and walked around a bit while we waited to see if ice skating would open up. About 11:30 it finally opened and Emily and the girls skated for about 25 minutes before they got to cold. They all had a good time and ice skating in the snow at Rockefeller Center was a good final day experience for them.

After that it was off to the airport. Our flight was delayed, but not because of weather, but of a mechanical issue. It finally took off 4 hours after it was supposed to. It was not the greatest of flights and after making us all sit in a plane at the gate for 3 hours they still made us pay for food. Overall our experience with American Airlines on this trip was not great.
