Dubrovnik, Croatia

Sunday was all about going to Dubrovnik. Dubrovnik is a medieval walled city and wandering around it feels like stepping back in time. The ship docked at 10:00 am and by 10:30 we were walking the wall around 'Old Town'. The wall was originally built to protect the city from invasion. Most, if not all, the old wall is still standing today and provided some excellent view of the surrounding area, the interior of Old Town, and the Adriatic sea. We got some amazing pictures of Dubrovnik from this vantage

After we were done walking the wall we took a swim in the Adriatic Sea. It was wonderfull swimming. It was hot outside and walking the wall had made us even hotter. We swam for a good 45 minutes to an hour. After swimming we had a great lunch in town and did a little browsing of shops and walking through old town.

We went back to the ship and spent late afternoon swimming, reading, and relaxing on the ship. We had our first of 2 formal night dinners so Em got in her gown and I was in my Tux and we went off to dinner, pictures posted later. We had another fine meal. Guess what Dan had for dessert? Upon returning to our room our cabin steward had left us a folded towel in the shape of a puppy dog (picture posted later). On our last cruise the girls loved to see what animal shape the towel would be folded into that evening.
